Daily Log 10/13/09

To celebrate my birthday, I fit in 36 push ups into this morning’s workout.  Then, I volunteered to help with an art project at my son’s school and ended up staying the whole morning.  It was so much fun! 

The rest of the day was not as I had planned.  I spent too much money to get my truck repaired and my son seems to be starting with his asthma.  Time to dust off the nebulizer.  *sigh*

Here’s my day:

Meals

a.m. – workout

1.  syntrax nectar protein drink, brown rice cake, green drink, organic coffee w/organic whole milk

2.  4 oz shimp salad in an ezekial wrap, serving of Amy’s chunky tomato soup

3.  1 cup strawberry kefir w/scoop Miracle Reds, cashews

4.  cashews, a pear

5.  Red wine and Indian food 🙂 Chole peshwari (chickpeas) ordered spicy w/naan and rice and a piece of leftover birthday cake.  🙂

 

Workout – New Rules of Lifting for Women, Phase 5 w/o A

3×4 with way too LONG rest periods

one arm db snatch 3×4 – 15, 20, 20

alternating – db single leg romanian DL 15, 20, 30 and barbell bent over row 65, 70, 70

alternating – db single arm overhead squat 5/10, 8/15, 8/15 and db incline bench press 20, 20, 20

superset – plank (2 minute holds) and reverse woodchop 40, 40, 40

36 pushups

This portion of the workout was 52 minutes.  Then, the matrix.  24 squats, 12 lunges, 12 lunge jumps, 24 squat jumps.  2 rounds.  Round 1 was 2:47, rest for 2:47, then round 2 was 2:39.
