Training Week: 5/9 – 5/16/10

This was a very busy week for me.  It marks the end of Enter the Kettlebell and I did a 5K mud run for the first time.

Here’s my week:

Sunday, 5/9 – barbell split squats, superset incline bench press and one leg kettlebell deadlift, 12kg TGUs, then 8 minutes of this circuit: 20 jump squats, 20 skips rope, 20 swings, 20 seconds rest.  Time 33:04.

Monday, 5/10 – 8 minutes of this circuit:  20 (20kg) swings, 20 skips rope, 20 secs rest.

Tuesday, 5/11 – ETK, light day.  10kg clean, press, pull ladders.  5 ladders, 3 rungs.  Then 7 minutes of 20kg swings, 15 reps, 15 seconds rest.  150 swings total.  Time 32:20.

Wednesday, 5/12 – 15 minutes of treadmill sprints.  25 minutes total time on the treadmill.

Thursday, 5/13 – ETK, medium day.  10kg clean, press, pull ladders.  5 ladders, 4 rungs.  8 minutes 0f 16kg swings, 30 reps: 20 seconds rest.  210 swings total.   Time 44:14.

Friday, 5/14 – OFF

Saturday, 5/15 – “Run a Muck” 5K – see my recap post here.

Sunday, 5/16 – ETK, heavy day.  10kg clean, press, pull ladders.  5 ladders, 5 rungs.  5 minutes of 16kg swings, 25 reps: 5 seconds rest.  166 total swings.  Time 49:03.
