Training Week 5/31 – 6/5/10

Back from vacation and moving forward this week! Here’s how it went:
Monday, 5/31 – 12kg clean, press, pull ladders. 3 ladders, 3 rungs. 8 minutes of this circuit: 10 (20kg) swings, 10 lunge jumps, 20 skips rope, 10 seconds rest. 6.5 rounds. Time 24:31.
Tuesday, 6/1 – Sprints and stairs at the local high school track. 6 sprints followed by stairs and squat jump supersets. Total time at the track with warm up/cool down – 30 minutes.
Wednesday, 6/2 – 12kg clean, push press, pull ladders. 5 ladders, 3 rungs. 6 minutes of swings. 20 reps, 10 secs rest. Time 31:39.
Thursday, 6/3 – OFF
Friday, 6/4 – 1 hour spin class. Some kettlebell work later in the morning. Snatching, cleans, presses, swings.
Saturday, 6/5 – Deadlifts 5×2, then 12kg clean, squat, push press 3×4 alternating with incline bench press, then chin ups 3×2 alternating with TRX atomic push ups. Finished up withh 3 rounds of 10 lunge jumps, 10 (20kg) swings, 10 secs rest. Time 34:24.
The plan for next week is to continue to mix it up. I am happy working in some days at the track now that it’s so light out at 6 am! I am going to attempt to wear my Vibram Five Fingers for running next week. I will keep you posted on how it goes.
