Training Week 6/20 – 6/26/10

June 27, 2010 § 2 Comments

Another week gone by, and we’re almost into July!  Wow!  I had a great week with a deadlift PR, but I am really feeling it’s time for a rest week.  My plan is to continue with workouts for another week, then take a week off.

Here’s how it went:

Sunday, 6/20 – Deadlift, alternating TGUs and reverse lunges, then alternating wide lat pulldown and clean, squat, push press.  Finished with 4 rounds of 5 burpees, 10 swings, 20 skips rope, 20 secs rest.  Time – 33 minutes.

Monday, 6/21 – 12kg clean, press, pull ladders.  3 ladders, 3 rungs, followed by 6 rounds of 4 (12kg) snatches, 5 squat jumps, 10 skips rope, 25 secs rest.  Time – 25 minutes.

Tuesday, 6/22 – Track sprints and stairs.  With warm up/cool down and stretching 30 minutes total.

Wednesday, 6/23 – Barbell split squat, alternating db bent over row and RDL, alternating kettlebell clean and press and goblet squats, TRX atomic pushups.  Finished with 4 rounds of 15 swings, 24 lunge jumps, 20 secs rest.  Time – 29 minutes.

Thursday, 6/24 – OFF

Friday, 6/25 – 1 hour spin class

Saturday, 6/26 – 12kg clean, press, pull ladders.  3 ladders, 3 rungs.  Finished with 6 rounds of 5 jump squats, 20 skips rope, 10 swings, 25 secs rest.  Time – 23:44.

I am really enjoying sprinting in Vibram Five Fingers.  I am getting less sore in the lower legs so that’s a good thing.  I am getting used to it.

Until next week friends, train hard!  🙂
